Truly jealous! spent 2 weeks touring california back in june and fell in love with the place. some of the sites in America are incredible, Yosemite - just wow!
Did experience a shocking bit of racism out there though, sister's boyfriend is from Sri-lankan family although born in england etc.
Walked into a Denny's in Yosemite - sister's boyfriend walked past a table heard a girl on the table say "wow we let a black boy in town"

I had a few `Up the Hammers` from Yanks (if I have had a WHU baseball cap or shorts)... even had a chat with a yank cast member at Disney's EPCOT said him and his mates all picked a team and get up and watch the Prem games with a few beers.. he said he picked us as he loved the clours and we was from London he even offered to put me and his family up at his gaff next time we was over.... he would have probably murdered us whilst in our sleep... I mean you know what Yanks are like

Just to answer a few questions...
Got the green card through marrage, wife is from Utah. She fell pregnant but sadly had a miscarriage
We decided to marry soon after that then we married in june of last year, fell pregnant and our daughter was born 6 weeks ago.
Put out immigration papers is last october, filed an adjustment of status from my old work permit to resident, filed all of our documents which was a shot load.
Various letters came through asking for extra information then we had our interview with the immigration board.
Easiest hour of my life and my green card was approved, thats me good for almost 12 years.
